Brisbane scores new alternative club night ‘LIKE HOME 4006’

Brisbane folk hungry for a new reason, and locale, to party need look no further. A brand spankin’ new punk and emo party from the creators of Thriller, Snitch and Sad Dance Club is set to bless your city. Allow us to introduce LIKE HOME 4006.

She Cries Wolf, fresh off a support date for The Amity Affliction, have been tagged to play the inaugural event, performing their 2019 release, Liar, from start to finish to leave their mark on the night.

Those in attendance will be spoiled further with sets from APATE, Deathbed and Headwreck.

The soirée will take place at the beloved Foundry, come Saturday, 29th February. You’d be remiss to think that there’s anywhere else that will play the goddamn icons of Aussie hardcore while you enjoy a casual drink or 10.

“We couldn’t be more stoked to be putting this all on at The Foundry Brisbane“, says the team behind the event, “with its multiple smokers balconies, huge open setting, bulk seating, huge bar, pool table and easily the best air conditioning in the Valley. Keep it cool…A lot of love has gone into making LIKE HOME 4006 come together for our city and our scene, we really hope you like it”.

Kicking off the same night Polaris take over the River city as per their headline tour dates, LIKE HOME is now the no-brainer kick on. By Brissy kids for Brissy kids, LIKE HOME will take particular effort to create an event that resonates deeply with locals, and gives visitors a taste of what the Brisbane scene is all about.

The launch of LIKE HOME 4006 marks the start of a big year for Australian heavy music in 2020, with iconic heavyweights Polaris and The Amity Affliction both slated to drop new albums in February, Parkway Drive making their big screen debut not long after and, just, so many more happenings that confirm the Australian alternative community is simply bursting at the seams.

LIKE HOME will be presented by Blam Events, the same team behind the aforementioned club nights, as well as Melbourne’s Bang, which, well, even just reading the name is enough to bring on a hangover / ringing in the ears.

So, consider yourself warned.
