Iceage, Croatian Amor and more announced for Posh Isolation showcase down under

If you’re a fan of what’s going on in post-punk spaces, chances are you would have heard of Posh Isolation. The label has become synonymous with experimental alternative in Scandinavia, and will be bringing the magic they’ve created down under, with two nights at Sydney’s Vivid LIVE presented under the Posh Isolation banner. Curated by Mitch Tolman of local punks Low Life, the program will feature Denmark icons Iceage, industrial experimentalist Croatian Amor (aka Loke Rahbek), duo Lust for Youth, Melbourne’s HTRK and YL Hooi. In addition to that, members of Total Control, Diät and Den have joined forces to form what could be described as a supergroup in DX, who will make their live debut as part of the showcase.

Loke Rahbek, the creator of Posh Isolation, has long been a pioneer of culture, creating a home for artists that pushed the envelope in Europe. Perhaps most popularly spawned out of the scene are Danish punks Iceage, who have ventured down under more than once across their life span. Their latest studio album (not including their recent collection of outtakes and rarities, Shake The Feeling) was Seek Shelter, which dropped all the way back in 2021, an indicator if we ever saw one that a visit to down under is well overdue. The fact that their return sees them joining a bill of friends and contemporaries both heralding from Australia and from home is an added bonus, and it definitely isn’t an occasion music fans want to miss.

In addition to appearing at Vivid LIVE, Iceage will hit the stage a week later at Melbourne’s RISING Festival, which also announced its program this morning. They’ll join the bill supporting revered Melbourne band RVG and Wellington outfit Batrider. Also appearing as part of RISING’s jam-packed program will be UK Legends The Damned, alongside doom metallers Witch and industrial duo Vacuum.
