Limp Bizkit is back in the studio again, and fans are pretty sure the icons are preparing to drop something nü.
Limp Bizkit have just reignited rumours of new music with a fresh photo from the studio—this time featuring the whole band.
Shared on April 30, the pic shows the full Limp Bizkit crew back at it, with Fred Durst holding a microphone in one hand and his phone in the other. The caption? Just one word: “Nu.” No further context, but fans are pretty sure this is a not-so-subtle hint the nü-metal legends are working on something brand new.
This isn’t the first sign of studio activity. Back in October, the band revealed they were tracking drums with John Otto, referring to him as their “human drum machine.” Since then, it’s been pretty quiet on the western front as to what that was for, or whether there was more studio time incoming.
Limp Bizkit last dropped a record in 2021 with Still Sucks, their chaotic and self-aware return that landed right in the middle of a full-blown nü-metal revival. Since then, they’ve kept busy touring across the globe, riding the wave of renewed love for all things heavy, weird, and early-2000s. They most recently played Aussie shows in late 2023 as part of Good Thing Festival to an absolutely feral crowd, and it’s safe to say fans Down Under are pretty keen to see them back again sooner rather than later.
Limp Bizkit is currently supporting Metallica on their “M72” tour alongside Ice Nine Kills over six shows, with the band also set to return to the UK in August as a sub-headliner for Bring Me The Horizon at Reading & Leeds.
With fresh studio updates now surfacing, a new single- or even a full project – might not be far off.
No official word yet, but if this post is any hint, the Bizkit machine could be about to fire up again. Stay tuned.
