Eagles Of Death Metal Announce Bluesfest ’16 Sideshows

Californian garage rockers Eagles Of Death Metal are gearing up to play their first show in Australia since the devastating Paris attacks on March 26th, as one of the 78 bands hitting this year’s Bluesfest in Byron Bay. Not your average one-and-done band, of course, they’ve also announced three additional headlining dates to hit Melbourne, Sydney and Freemantle.

Drummer, bassist, backup vocalist, guitarist and everything-else-ist Josh Homme (aka Carlo Von Sexron, DP Pete, Baby Duck, Zombie Zebra, and as our editor prefers, Ginger Elvis) has been confirmed not to make the trek Down Under, but fellow everything-else-ist and other 1/2 of the band Jesse Hughes (The Devil and Boots Electric) will most certainly crash land on our shores to shred some tunes alongside a full backing band.

Since the aforementioned attacks, Eagles Of Death Metal have sworn to keep rocking and rolling – a claim they’ve pushed through with to the fullest extent, even going as far as having returned to Paris with all of their riffs in tow. The band were last in the country for Soundwave 2014, where they absolutely slayed. With a new album behind their belts and a fire in their eyes to rock out as hard as they goddamn can, these shows are going to be pretty damn special.
