Of Mice & Men’s Austin Carlile Electrocuted By Microphone

In a scene not unlike the one with Russell Hammond and Stillwater in Almost FamousOf Mice & Men frontman Austin Carlile was hospitalised for 24 hours after being electrocuted by his microphone. Taking to Twitter, he wrote, Spent the last 24 hours in hospital. “I’ve been “electrocuted” by mic, working, etc. before, but never to the extent of yesterday. Nothing to show from it other than burns on my fingers. Lucky to be alive, but today feel like I was ran over by a truck. Close call for the heart.” The singer copped a severe electric shock at the hands of his faulty mic.

The Californian metalcore crew have had to cancel several tours over the past few months due to Carlile’s ill health, with the frontman undergoing what he hoped to be “the most effective of all procedures they’ve tried thus far” in mid June. Here’s hoping we see Carlile back on his feet soon.
