Millencolin To Release First New Studio Album In Seven Years
Our favourite Swedish skate punks Millencolin have surprised us all by announcing that their new album, True Brew, will be out in Australia April 24 through Epitaph Records. True Brew makes for the band’s first batch of new tunes since 2007’s Machine 15 and comes off the back of their 2012 compilation, The Melancholy Connection, which featured two new tracks alongside a host of B-sides and rarities. Recorded at Soundlab Studios in Örebro and mixed by famed producer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Amon Amarth, DragonForce) at Fascination Street Studios, this is the long-standing punk four-piece going back to their musical roots and offering up a modern take on why they started Millencolin in the first place.
The band will be on their way here next week for this year’s Soundwave Festival and will no doubt be treating fans to favourites from their classic Pennybridge Pioneers LP (2000) and maybe a few sneaky new tracks.
