Concepts Announce Debut EP
Hailing from sunny Houston, Texas, Concepts are a six-piece post-hardcore band who are ready and raring to dominate the world arena. Formed in 2011, they’ve shared the stage with the likes of Of Mice & Men and Emery and are now finally prepared to unleash their debut EP, Transitions, on the world on February 17th. Produced by the band and mastered by Kris Crummett (Sleeping With Sirens, Alesana, Issues), the EP meshes harsh screams with killer cleans that could rival the likes of Jonny Craig and Tyler Carter.
“We feel that this EP represents our hard work, dedication, and the sacrifices that we’ve made to make it this happen,” says screamer Aaron Isbell. “We’ve been through so much to get this release finished and ready for fans, and we are more than proud to finally be able to show people who we are.”
The band has recently released a music video and single for an unlikely cover of Maroon 5’s “Animals”, which soars in all the right places and has a Punk Goes Pop slot written all over it. Isbell explains, “The ‘Animals’ cover was something we had been wanting to do since the song was originally released. We’ve done covers in the past, however us as a band really wanted to make better quality covers than past times, and we all feel the final product came out great. We’re really excited to have been able to release this. The response from fans has been fantastic.”
