Asking Alexandria’s Sam Bettley In Truck Accident

Asking Alexandria

For some inexplicable reason it seems that all our favourite heavy bands have been getting themselves in accidents lately. Asking Alexandria bassist Sam Bettley got into a bit of a strife after a recent car crash, noting that he’s “lucky to be alive”. Apparently one of Bettley’s tires blew out, which flipped his removal truck and resulted in everything he owned being “destroyed”. On the upside, Bettley is “grateful” to have “walked away without a scratch” and we’re thankful he’s come out unscathed. You can see a picture of the incident below.

The metalcore band is currently gearing up to release their new album without ex-frontman Danny Worsnop on March 25. Earlier this week, the Brits streamed the “rock mix” (yeah, we’re confused too) of their new actual power ballad “Here I Am”. Prior to that, they streamed “Let It Sleep”, “The Black”, “I Won’t Give In” and “Undivided”, all off their forthcoming studio album The Black (which, from the looks of things, you’ve heard half of anyway).

If you’re keen to catch the outfit deliver the new tunes live, Asking Alexandria will be out here this April with metalcore contemporaries Blessthefall and Aussie boys Buried In Verona. Scroll down to scope out the dates.

Check out Bettley’s photo of the truck-flip below.

The Black is out March 25 through Sumerian/Warner.
