Bludgeoned By Deformity, the new death metal supergroup, launches with “False Deliverance” and announces debut EP.
There’s a new supergroup in the death metal scene, and it’s one worth paying attention to. Bludgeoned By Deformity unites members of Sanguisugabogg, Pig Destroyer, Immortal Torment, and more, and they’ve just released their first single, “False Deliverance.”
The Bludgeoned By Deformity lineup is a force: Devin Swank (Sanguisugabogg, Earthburner) handles vocals, joined by Ethan Buttery (Jivebomb, Sinister Feeling) on bass, and Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Misery Index) on drums. Guitar duties are split between Bradon Studebaker (Immortal Torment, ex-Rejoice) and Andre Pickens (Tsuris), with a guest solo from Chris Basile of Pyrexia rounding out the track.
Lyrically, “False Deliverance” pulls no punches. The band calls it “a song about hypocrisy displayed by Christians when they force their beliefs on others when they are pieces of shit themselves behind the curtain.” It’s an unflinching statement, delivered with a sound that’s every bit as caustic and unrelenting.

Their debut EP, Epoch Of Immorality, is set to drop June 6 and features a guest appearance from Don Campan (Waking The Cadaver) on the track “Extirpated Human Existence.” The project was tracked across several studios: drums and guitars by Kevin Bernsten at Developing Nations (Full Of Hell, Magrudergrind), vocals by Josh Nunn at Daily Grind Productions, and bass tracked DIY-style by Studebaker. It was mixed by Andrew Solis at Dead Stare Audio and mastered by Nick Townsend.
With a debut this heavy, Bludgeoned By Deformity isn’t easing their way in. They’re kicking the door off its hinges.
