Parkway Drive have just dropped their new single “Sacred”, a defiant new anthem that swings like a wrecking ball of pure fire and intent.
It’s Parkway Drive’s first release since 2022’s Darker Still album, and it’s everything fans could hope for: massive, melodic, and meaning-packed. Directed by Third Eye Visuals, the accompanying music video is a visual gut punch, cinematic, chaotic, and completely locked in with the band’s vision of reclaiming identity and power through sound.
Frontman Winston McCall doesn’t mince words about the song’s mission:
“The mission statement for ‘Sacred’ is pretty damn simple. An anthemic wrecking ball of positive energy.”
“Our lives and the way we exist in the world has been pushed further and further through the lenses and frames of negativity and hopelessness,” he continues. “Obsession with everything we lack, everything we hate, everyone we blame, everything that keeps us down. We sell the unique parts of us most precious just to buy back manufactured pieces of self in order that we may feel whole again. ‘Sacred’ is our identity. ‘Sacred’ is our time. Never lose sight and never lose hope.”
The message? Hold tight to what makes you real and scream it loud.

And if “Sacred” sounds like a battle cry, that’s because it is. The timing couldn’t be more perfect, with Parkway Drive launching into what might be their most ambitious year ever.
First stop: The Sydney Opera House in June. Sold out, fully symphonic, and ready to blow the roof off one of the world’s most iconic venues. It’s a fitting start to a 20-year celebration that will span continents.
Parkway Drive is also touring the U.S., Europe and the UK this year, but for Aussies the other big ticket gig they’re sweating on is their recently-announced headline performance on the Hellbound Cruise set to scream out of Sydney’s ports in October 2026.
From symphonies to circle pits, Parkway Drive are proving again that their evolution is far from over. If you needed a reminder of why the band sits at the top of the modern metal food chain, here it is.
