New alternative festival Full Tilt shares massive line up

UPDATE: 28/01/2022: Full Tilt Sydney has officially been cancelled.

Promoter Chris O’Brien said “We have zero confidence in any of the state governments anymore. They constantly backflip on restrictions with absolutely no notice or industry consultation. For the most part we have been disgracefully and completely ignored by the States and the Federal Government. Two years in and we still have no ability to trade and generate income as an industry on a national level. We have no grants coming in, no job keeper, no National insurance scheme so when the States do pull the rug from under us with no notice we are left high and dry. Where we thought there was light at the end of the tunnel late last year has very quickly evaporated and we sit here now with more uncertainty than ever before. They say it’s the darkest before dawn…well dawn feels like an eternity away”.

UPDATE: 15/10/2021: Destory All Lines have announced fresh dates for the Sydney and Melbourne legs of Full Tilt Festival. New information is below. The new dates also come with word that Thy Art IS Murder will now be performing at all Full Tilt dates, as well as Hellions now coming along for the whole ride.

UPDATE: 8/07/2021: Because of the current wave of COVID-19 cases, extensive lockdowns and further uncertainty, Destroy All Lines have announced that both Full Tilt Sydney and Full Tilt Adelaide editions will be postponed until further in the year. New dates have been announced for both. Sydney will remain at the Bella Vista venue, while Adelaide is expected to find out about a new venue in the coming days.

UPDATE: 1/03/2021: The good times just keep coming with Full Tilt Festival, which is proving to be somewhat of an unstoppable force. To punctuate the news that Melbourne has sold out, with Brisbane approaching the same milestone, a new event has been announced for Adelaide on Saturday, 17th July. Line up and ticketing information below. Tickets on sale from Friday 5 March, 9am AEDT local time.

UPDATE 27/01/2021: Destroy All Lines have dropped an absolute hammer this morning announcing that due to the overwhelming, thunderous support for Full Tilt’s original Brisbane date, a second show has been added in Melbourne. The show will go down Saturday, 3rd July. Ticketing and line up info below.

ORIGINAL: Australia truly will be going from a period of no live music in 2020 to all the live music in 2021. As the wave of events set to take place in the COVID-free future grows bigger, a brand new one has thrown their hat into the mix with the inaugural Full Tilt festival announcing its date, location and line-up, which is pieced together with the best and brightest of Australia’s alternative music scene.

Coming in at pole position is 3x ARIA award winners, and therefore the biggest of boys, Northlane, who will be casting the progressive spells found on 2019’s Alien upon the audience. Hands Like Houses have also been confirmed as well as Byron lords In Hearts Wake, Aussie punk legends Frenzal Rhomb and more. Troublemakers The Bennies and Sydney progressive metal start ups Reliqa round out the hefty bill.

Full Tilt will be fully realised in June 2021 at Brisbane’s Eaton Hills Outdoors. There are no indications the event will travel to other cities, but we are also big enough to be happy that our Brissy brothers and sisters will get to enjoy it.

The festival is brought to us by the seemingly sleepless Destroy All Lines, who have been laying on the live music announcements for 2021 as thick and fast as we needed them. As well as the world-class line up, Full Tilt will also boast extra fanfare in the form of food stalls, DJs, and a mixed bag of various other curiosities for punters.
