Holy Holy Announce Guest-Filled Hiatus Tour

Share

After more than a decade in Australian indie- rock scene, Holy Holy is stepping away from the spotlight—at least for now.

With five albums, countless sold-out shows, and over 170 million streams under their belt, the duo of Oscar Dawson and Timothy Carroll has just announced they’ll be going on hiatus. But before they hang up their halos, Holy Holy is giving fans one last chance to experience the magic. The rock band have just announced their Grand Hiatus Tour in May and June 2025, presented by triple j.

“It’s been one of the greatest honours of my life,” Carroll says of their journey. “The memories, the songs, and the incredible fans—we’ll cherish it all. But now feels like the right time to step back and explore other things.” Carroll is heading to Sweden, while Dawson is settling in London, making this tour a bittersweet farewell to a band that has become a cornerstone of Australia’s modern music identity.

The Grand Hiatus Tour will hit some of Holy Holy’s favourite venues across the country, with stops in Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and more. True to their collaborative spirit, the band is promising special guests at each show, reflecting their history of working with artists like CLEWS, Kwame, Sumner, and Queen P. “There’s nothing like sharing a stage with other incredible musicians. It creates a bond, a kind of musical family,” Dawson shares.

Picking the setlist, they admit, will be the hardest part. With hits like True Lovers, Teach Me About Dying, and Sentimental and Monday, alongside tracks from their critically acclaimed final album Cellophane, fans can expect a deep dive into the band’s rich catalogue.

Pre-sale tickets go live Thursday, 30 January, at 10am, with general sales kicking off Friday, 31 January, at 10am. Tickets can be accessed here.
