Listen To A Vibe-y New Jam From Moose Blood
August is a pretty huge month for new releases in the alt scene: to name just a select few, we’re set to get our hands on new discs from popcore tyrants The Amity Affliction, pop-punk-cum-metalcore legends A Day To Remember, and electropunk powerhouse Storm The Sky. But for those in the market for some vibe-heavy emo gold, next month’s biggest offering is effortlessly the new Moose Blood LP.
Blush drops next Friday via Hopeless and UNFD, and thanks to the good folks kickin’ it at Fuse, we’ve got a new jam to tide us over for one more week. “Sulk” is the third single to drop from the English quartet’s tumblr-aesthetic-laden sophomore effort, following “Knuckles” and “Honey”. We’re certainly not in the business of jumping any guns, but based on the feels these three songs are giving us, we’re pretty sure Blush is gonna blow Moose Blood right the fuck up.
“’Sulk’ is about a family relationship,” the band said in a press release. “It was one of the first songs we wrote for the record and we’re so pleased with how the song evolved into what it is now.”
Right after the band drop Blush, Moose Blood will trek their way across the country in support of Luca Brasi‘s 8-date headline run. The adventure kicks off in Canberra on Wednesday, August 17th, before the trio (Adelaide emo-punks The Hard Aches are also tagging along for the ride) hit Newcastle, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Hobart.
