The Used Add Two More Shows To Their Australian Tour
Turns out people still love The Used – not that we ever doubted their infinite relevancy, but perhaps to the promoter’s surprise, folks went apeshit when tickets to their 15th Anniversary Tour hit the internets.
Within 90 minutes, four shows between Sydney and Melbourne were bled absolutely dry – an upgrade from the Metro Theatre to the Enmore gave Sydney punters a second chance, but Melbourne fans were left in the dark with both of their 170 Russell shows left untouched… Until, of course, everyone yelled into the digital abyss and more shows were added.
Rather than kick the tour off in Fremantle on November 26th, the Utah alt-rock heroes will now knock their schedule back a week and start the jaunt in Melbourne on the 21st. There, they’ll be shuttering out their 2000 self-titled classic from cover to cover, before following it up the night after with a run-through of 2004’s In Love And Death.
We probably don’t need to fill you in that these tickets will go pretty fast. They’re on sale tomorrow morning at 10am, but we suggest setting alarms a solid 30-minutes earlier. Just in case.
The tour will run as previously announced aside, hitting the aforementioned Fremantle, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane across the rest of November and first week-and-a-half of December.
The quartet released their latest offering, Live And Acoustic At The Palace, back in March. It’s a fairly self-explanatory release, exploring their past 15 years as a band and making us feel incredibly old. Thankfully, Bert is still as perfect as ever. Bless.
