The Brave Sign To UNFD; Announce A Tour

Screen shot 2016-03-30 at 1.15.23 PM

On Monday morning, our good mates – and sneaky bastards – at UNFD teased their latest signing with a ~mysteriously~ uncredited new song. As expected, the internet imploded on itself, hardcore kids far and wide turning into wannabe Sherlock Holmes-es to decipher who the newcoming shredders were. Well, turns out they’re none other than Brisbane’s own The Brave!

“We’re very excited to be working with The Brave,” says UNFD’s Luke Logemann. “We’ve had our eye on them for a while and look forward to introducing them to the UNFD community. ‘Searchlights’ is an amazing song that had us hooked immediately, and the new material the band keeps delivering is blowing us all away!”

On the off chance you missed the secretive teaser, “Searchlights” is The Brave’s first single to drop on their new label – no word has been said on whether or not it’s part of the band’s forthcoming debut full-length, but after losing ourselves in its sloshy, riff-y goodness well over a dozen times, we’re hoping it is.

“We’re beyond stoked on signing to UNFD,” says vocalist Nathan Toussaint. “When we started this band we came in with the intention just to play shows and cater to our creative sides to write music. We never thought that it would take us to the point of getting signed let alone signed to a label like UNFD which has a roster full of bands that we look up to and draw inspiration from. We can’t wait to get on the road and see how far we can take our band and see what adventures await us.”

To commemorate their signing to UNFD and new single, The Brave will head off on a three-date mini-tour across the East Coast next month. The venues they’re hitting up are pretty tiny, but with a sound that massive, it’s pretty much a given that the next tour will be a huge one.
