Jeff Rosenstock Has Announced A “Last Minute” Australian Tour

Screen Shot 2016-01-25 at 4.31.55 PM

A long, long time ago (March 2015), indie punk overlord Jeff Rosenstock dropped one of the most head-tilting, fist-pumping jam records we’ve ever laid our ears on. Rosenstock’s second solo album (and, like, fiftieth all up), We Cool? is a collection of tunes pretty much built for the live show, every chorus begging to be sung along to and every solo screaming for a pit. Well, exactly one year after the disc’s release, Australia is finally getting a chance to witness the action in action.

Taking to the stage with Bruce Lee Band drummer Kevin Higuchi and former Bomb The Music Industry (which Rosenstock also used to front) bassist John DeDomenici, the Long Island feels-generator will hit our shores for 11 dates across March, bringing the vibes to Launceston, Adelaide, Footscray, Forrest, Melbourne, Wollongong, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane.

Having previously toured with Bomb The Music Industry in 2012 and 2013, this will be Rosenstock’s first time in Australia with his solo project in tow. Using this tour as the perfect opportunity to pull a double whammy, he’ll also play a full set with his semi-side project Antarctigo Vespucci. Initially formed in 2014 as a one-off collaboration with Chris Farren (of Fake Problems), the indie pop duo have been going hard ever since, releasing their debut full-length Leavin’ La Vida Loca in July of last year.

Joining both acts on all dates of the tour will be Melbourne indie punk trio Camp Cope. Set to chuck their debut album on shelves sometime in April, the Poison City powerhouse are one we’ll be keeping a close eye on throughout 2016, thanks in no short part to their amazing new single “Lost: Season One”. And yes, that is Georgia Maq’s voice flooding your ear holes right now. Fucking incredible, we know.
