Ben Bruce Drops Out Of Asking Alexandria Tour, But For A Great Reason

Asking Alexandria

If you’ve ever played hooky from pretty much anything, you’ll know that it can be pretty tough to craft an excuse that will get you out of that thing you really don’t wanna do. In the case of Asking Alexandria guitarist/vocalist Ben Bruce, the reason he’s skipping out from their upcoming shows isn’t just a fantastic, but fabricated, white lie.

Bruce explained on Asking Alexandria’s Facebook page that why he “can’t be on this run is due to the fact that I am expecting the arrival of my baby girl any time now and as you all know, myself, the lads and this band has always lived by ‘family first'”. That seems fair enough to us!

The guitarist lightened the announcement by also adding that AA will be announcing another UK/European tour in September that’s slated for early 2017, and that he’ll be at the shows “in spirit”. ICYMI, Asking Alexandria only just wrapped up a run of shows down under a couple of months ago, lighting up venues from Sydney to Perth with Blessthefall and Buried In Verona. In more AA-related news, the act will be covering My Chemical Romance’s “Famous Last Words” on Rock Sound’s upcoming tribute to The Black Parade. We wish Ben and his family all the best with their new addition this year.
