Unlocking The Truth To Release Debut Album In June

unlocking the truth

Remember that super young metal band that went viral and rocked the music world a couple of years ago? The youngest act to ever play Coachella? Yeah, those guys are still completely killing it. After a seriously tough run with the industry, Brooklyn trio Unlocking The Truth are finally gearing up to release their debut album.

A few years on and a little bit taller, the teens will unleash their debut album, Chaos, Tunecore on June 17th. It was produced by Johnny K (Megadeth, Disturbed) and frontman Malcolm Brickhouse noted that he hopes fans “are able to relate to the songs the way that we do and have the time of their lives listening to them”.

At the young ages of 12 and 13, the band signed a two-album deal with Sony after being granted permission from a New York Judge due to their young age. Unexpectedly, they sought release from their million-dollar deal with the label, with bassist Alec Atkins describing it as being “pretty difficult at times” with meetings, “especially with this one particularly lady at the label, who had a meeting with us once where she was just talking at us for six hours”.

Check out the band’s most recent studio update below.
