The Ghost Inside’s Andrew Tkaczyk Continues To Drum Up A Storm

Andrew Tkaczyk

Whatever you’re struggling with today, be it school, work or April Fool’s Day pranks, you can get through it. We know this because if Andrew Tkaczyk of The Ghost Inside can return to the kit after losing a leg in the band’s tragic bus accident last year, you can pretty much do anything.

The drummer shared more footage of himself getting back in the game today, posting an Instagram update documenting his second day returning. He described his injuries forcing him to use his “toes to keep the hats closed while playing the left kick with the same heel”.

Earlier in the week, Tkaczyk thanked fans for their support, voicing his appreciation for “EVERY encouraging word”. “Thank you all so much for being on my side on this journey, it means more than words can describe”.

Just because the metalcore outfit are progressing in their recovery, however, doesn’t mean that they haven’t had a rough go of it. Guitarist Zach Johnson lost several toes following the crash, and vocalist Jonathan Vigil is currently battling a bone infection as he re-learns how to walk.

They’re intending to be fit for the stage by next year, having recently announced that they will play on Vans Warped Tour 2017. They’ve also added Texas In July’s Chris Davis to their squad, recruiting him as a second guitarist after he toured with the band in 2015.

If you’d like to contribute to the medical costs for The Ghost Inside, whose bills are being issued by the uncaring institution that is the United States’ health care system, the band is still accepting donations on their Gofundme.

Watch Andrew Tkaczyk back at it again in the clip below.
