The Amity Affliction Announce HUGE Headline Tour!
Are you ready for this? Our cover stars The Amity Affliction have announced their biggest headline tour to date in support of their recent banger, Let The Ocean Take Me. The band’s fourth album and follow-up to 2012’s Chasing Ghosts was released June 6th and has already garnered a massive reception from fans around the world. On top of their Australian tour, the boys are also set to announce a worldwide headline tour later this week hitting venues throughout Europe and the US.
Stepping out on their first Aussie tour dates for 2014 – and hitting some of the biggest venues of their career – Amity will be joined by their brothers in Architects, Issues, Stray From The Path and Deez Nuts.
The UK’s Architects, who you may remember from such Amity shows as their 2012 Chasing Ghosts tour, have recently released their massive sixth studio album Lost Forever // Lost Together, which is being hailed as their breakthrough LP and one of the most critically acclaimed heavy records of 2014. And you can bet your sweet arse you’ll be hearing tracks from it at these upcoming shows.
Coming from the US, Issues are the new kids on the block having only released their debut self-titled effort at the start of this year. Their maiden voyage Down Under will be off the back of stints at this year’s Vans Warped Tour in the US and Reading and Leeds in the UK, so it’s safe to say they’ll be well seasoned by the time they reach us in August.
Slotting in as the token scene vets on this bill, alternative hardcore legends Stray From The Path are returning to our shores once more after having first wowed Aussie fans when they supported Northlane last year. Expect to hear brutal cuts from the band’s latest release, 2013’s Anonymous, as well as pit-worthy tracks spanning their seven-album back catalogue.
Rounding out the bill will be our own Deez Nuts, who’ve spent the past year honing their live craft at festivals throughout Europe (Groezrock, Impericon Fest, Heavy Festival, Outspoken Festival). This will be the band’s third and final Australian tour for 2014, so catch ‘em while you can (even if only to chant “Blunt after blunt after blunt after blunt” during “Shot After Shot” because hey, that’s the name of our mag).
