Kevin Smith Is Coming Down Under
Everybody’s favourite nerd Kevin Smith is returning to Australia’s shores this September and he plans on giving everyone some much needed oral (no, not that kind of oral). Joining him is long-time friend and collaborator Jason Mewes, the Robin to Smith’s Batman, for a selection of shows dubbed An Evening With Kevin Smith: The Jersey Boys Tour. The dynamic duo will kick off each night with a live performance of their hit podcast Jay & Silent Bob Get Old, followed by a Q&A with Smith himself.
For those unfamiliar with Smith’s live shows, or even his films, no topic is off-limits. You can expect a long night of hilarious stories, ranging from Mewes’ weird sex life to Smith’s failed Superman film reboot.
Smith, director of such cult classics as Dogma and Chasing Amy, has spent the last decade establishing a vast podcasting empire on his Smodcast Network. For a guy famous for playing a character named Silent Bob, the dude really likes to talk. He’s recently rekindled his love affair with film, working on a trilogy of horror-comedy films set in Canada (including 2014’s midnight-monster movie throwback Tusk) and sequels for his much loved classics Mallrats and Clerks. With so much on his plate at the moment, there’s bound to be some fun – and most definitely filthy – stories waiting to be heard. Snooch to the nooch.
Tickets go on sale Friday May 29th @ 10am.
