Brace yourselves, metalheads: we’ve got footage of the one and only Iron Maiden touching down in Sydney yesterday ahead of their show at Qudos Bank Arena tonight.

Our resident snapper and metal aficionado Peter Zaluzny was on hand with Narelle Cornelius to film the arrival of Ed Force One, currently emblazoned with the Mayan-themed Eddie artwork of the band’s most recent offering, The Book Of Souls (2015).

Speaking about the band coming to Oz for the first time in five years, frontman Bruce Dickinson said: “Maiden thrive on touring and getting out to our fans, it’s what we do best, so it will be a great feeling to board our new Jumbo Ed Force One with the crew and the gear and head round the globe and get back on stage for you guys. We haven’t played in Australia and New Zealand for a number of years so it will be a pleasure to play for our Antipodean cousins again. I think the fans will be delighted by what we have in mind.”

The 92-minute epic that is The Book Of Souls came in at #2 on the ARIA Charts upon its release.
