Guns N’ Roses Rumours: New Album With Classic Lineup But ‘Chinese Democracy’ To Be Played On Tour?
A handful of ex-employees of Guns N’ Roses are fuelling some very strange rumours about the band’s long-hoped-for reunion tour and future plans.
Arlett Vereecke, their old publicist, has told Classic Rock that the band is definitely recording new material saying, “Axl hasn’t been there, but Slash is definitely in there and it’s not for anyone else.”
Ex-manager Ian Niven is also throwing fuel on the fire, suggesting “Duff [McKagan] and Izzy [Stradlin] were in the studio before Christmas doing stuff. At a casual glance I think they’ve got at least a couple of tracks down.”
Now the ugly part: Vereecke has also confirmed the unthinkable, claiming that the band will be playing songs off Chinese Democracy on their reunion tour to cater to frontman Axl Rose and his well-noted sizeable ego, despite the fact that he is the only member to appear on the over-hyped, rarely listened-to album.
Well, at least it’ll be easy to know when to run for a pee break if that happens.
