Green Day, My Chemical Romance + Paramore Lullabies Are Here To Help You Go The F*&# To Sleep
We’ve found it. We’ve found the story that will make you say, “Me as a parent”. Two midwestern guys with “pop-punk fuelled hearts” and a shared passion for creating businesses around the things they love to do have teamed up to deliver lullaby renditions of really great alternative albums.
Sparrow Sleeps, the brainchild of Casey Cole and Peter Lockhart, was started at the tail-end of 2013 and is named after Cole’s daughter, Sparrow, and his attempts to (you guessed it) get her to drift gently off to the land of the Sandman.
The duo have already racked up a solid discography of toned-down cover albums, from NOFX (Good Night And Thanks For The Snooze) and Paramore (Quiet!) to My Chemical Romance (Three Cheers For Sweet Dreams) and most recently, Green Day (Hypersomniac). More bands in the collection include Beach Slang, Yellowcard, Senses Fail, Blink-182, Taking Back Sunday, and Jimmy Eat World. In case you hadn’t noticed, Cole and Lockhart have damn good taste. Check out their full discography here.
For the parent at their wits’ end or for anyone in need of something mellow (who will settle for nothing less than a kickarse melody), Sparrow Sleeps has got your number.
