Foos Fan Wants To “Purchase” Dave Grohl For $35,000, Because This Is The World We Live In Now

We all know what it feels like to be a fan, but at what point do you need to seriously reconsider your life choices because what you’re attempting to do probably isn’t okay? Texan Rock 108 radio host Frank Pain has just launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $35,000 so that he can “purchase” Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.

What likely (surely) started as a joke has reached the point where 57 people have pledged over $1,000 for Pain’s dream to become a reality. That dream? To “hang out and high five and shit”.

“I’m his biggest fan and figured I can round up enough scratch to purchase him so we can hang out and high five and shit. Heck, I may give him a bro-hug or two as well. I’m not 100% the amount I’m asking for will buy him. Hell, I’m not even sure if it’s legal to purchase another human being without being some central part of a 20/20 TV special. But, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try, right?”

As it stands, Grohl and the Foos are yet to acknowledge Pain’s request (would you really be in a rush to meet the person who wants to buy you?) However, Pain has since amended his campaign to state that he’ll be donating funds to Autism Speaks rather than sinking some beers with the cash, because he never *actually* expected people to donate to his cause.

Watch a video of Frank Pain discussing his decision to purchase Mr Grohl below.
