Billy Talent Are Coming Back To Australia
After dropping a banging new single last week, Canadian rockers Billy Talent have announced that they’ll return to Australia for a headlining tour this coming August. It’s a full-blown trip Down Under, including Perth, and will follow on from the release of their upcoming album, Afraid Of Heights, at the end of July.
The band released a nifty little trailer for their fifth studio LP, where they explain that they don’t mean heights “in the traditional sense of mountains or sky scrapers but a more philosophical way. As people and as a society we have a fear of taking it to the next level. When did we lose our way? Where did our prejudices come from? Where did this hatred come from?”
Keen-eyed fans out there may have also noticed an extra member lurking in that fresh promo photo, and it’s none other than Jordan “Ratbeard” Hastings. Sound familiar? That’s because he’s usually the one working the kit for fellow Canucks Alexisonfire.
Billy Talent’s last tour was a sellout, but if that doesn’t get you motivated to attend these shows, their new single probably will. Aussie fans will be among the first to hear their new tunes live in all their glory, so make sure you give the LP a spin before rocking up this August.
