Bare Bones Premiere New Clip For “White Knuckles Black Tar”

After getting its debut on short.fast.loud last night, Sydney punk rockers Bare Bones have released the party-hard clip for their new single, “White Knuckles Black Tar”. Recorded and produced by Chris Blancato (Northlane, Arteries), the track settles in as our first taste of the band’s upcoming full-length, slated for release in 2016.

It’s been an impressive year for the Sydney five-piece. After winning triple j’s Unearthed Soundwave competition and opening the festival main stage in Sydney, Bare Bones managed to snatch up support slots alongside Every Time I Die, Norma Jean and Funeral For A Friend. Following the critical acclaim of their two EPs, Villains and Cut Throat Living, we now see them veering away from the hardcore sound they’ve been known for and more toward a melodic punk’n’roll vibe in the vein of The Bronx.

Originally meant to be filmed in a warehouse, Bare Bones took the YOLO approach and instead put their money into a wild, booze-riddled night out. The result? A FOMO-inducing clip that would struggle to be remembered if it weren’t for the trusty camera man. Guitarist James Dean even copped a tattoo just for the occasion. Check out the clip below and suss out the upcoming tour dates.

Grab “White Knuckles Black Tar” on iTunes.
