August Burns Red Got Themselves Stuck In An Elevator On The Way To The Grammys

ABR-Twitter

You know this is something that would only happen to a band in our scene. Last year Mastodon’s Brent Hinds got himself kicked out of the Grammy Awards, and this year? Well, August Burns Red almost didn’t make it at all.

Despite losing the award for Best Metal Performance to Satan’s Little Helpers Ghost, we’re betting the Pennsylvannia metalcore unit are the only band that managed to get themselves stuck in an elevator on the way to the event.

Bassist Dustin Davidson shared the below image to Twitter, where it looks as though members of the band along with a small horde of Grammy attendees became trapped in their hotel elevator prior to the industry shindig.

Davidson followed up his tweet with another shout out to the LA fire department “for giving us a ride on their truck to the red carpet”. August Burns Red were nominated for their song “Identity”, which was plucked from their seventh full-length, Found In Far Away Places.

Listen to the track that almost won Best Metal Performance below.
