With Confidence Join The Hopeless Records / UNFD Family
Sydney has a goddamn incredible local music scene. Every other week, another band pops up filled with fresh new faces, fresh new sounds, and a fresh new burst of potential. The latest in the pack to jump up and soar are With Confidence, a four-piece pop-punk powerhouse that you’ve definitely seen at a gig or twelve. The group have been kicking it hard and heavy since 2012, smashing out quality tunes like last January’s Distance EP, and touring with such prodigious scene-steerers as You Me At Six, Tonight Alive and Real Friends.
With stacks of experience and a ridiculously devoted fanbase under their belts, the band have started their 2016 right by signing to Hopeless Records, joining the ranks of All Time Low, The Used, Trophy Eyes and The Wonder Years. Hopeless will issue the quartet’s releases internationally (rumour has it we’ll see a debut album drop before the year’s end), and UNFD will handle local distribution.
To accompany the announcement, With Con debuted a brand new single, “We’ll Be Okay”.
“We’ll Be Okay was written at a time where I was riddled with worry over a number of things, bedridden by a bad case of writer’s block,” explains lead vocalist and bassist Jayden Seeley. “The only song left to write was a friendly reminder that at the end of the day, we’ll be okay! It’s an ode to carefree – a bright-eyed remembrance that amongst rainy weather sun always, eventually, shines through.”
