Violent Soho Release New Video For “So Sentimental”
Brissy grunge lords Violent Soho can’t seem to exit the spotlight – not that that’s any semblance of a bad thing, considering that WACO is a goddamn classic and the tour to follow was even more unforgettable. Now that we’ve had a couple of weeks to settle down from the latter, the quartet have dropped a new video for their cruisy, jammy “So Sentimental”.
Following on from the one-shot “Viceroy” and bowlo set “Like Soda”, the clip for “So Sentimental” prides itself on a bit more of an easygoing attitude, director Marie Pangaud following the blokes around as they smash back some tinnies and explore the Australian countryside in a beat-up Volvo. It’s fitting, given that the tune is one of WACO‘s slower and more vibe-y cuts.
Alongside their completely sold-out national theatre tour, Violent Soho recently headlined what may very well be the gig of the century – a club show in Brisbane alongside The Smith Street Band and High Tension to raise some dough for community radio. In the end, they netted a sweet $3,500 in donations for local station 4ZZZ.
