Violent Soho Are Upping The Shoey Game With Their Own Beer

Violent Soho beer

It was only a matter of time before Brissy grungers Violent Soho branched out into legit alcohol products. After all, you’ve gotta get pissed on something while you chuck a mosh to some “Jesus Stole My Girlfriend” – it’s just un-Australian otherwise!

Teaming up with craft beer champions Stone & Wood, the quartet have brewed up a fresh batch of malty perfection in the East Coast Crusher. It’s a ‘Pilot Batch’ – an experimental brew which is super rare, ultra limited, and until this beautifully sunny day, has never existed. Basically, this ain’t no Thooeys Dry with a sticker swap: this is a whole new experience in and of itself.

Stone & Wood are obviously stoked to be working with the WACO crew, stating, “Working with good, like-minded people from our community to brew good beer is what we’re about. The Violent Soho boys are our biggest fans and so we were stoked for them to be able to brew their own beer with us.”

As for the Soho bros themselves, that feeling couldn’t be echoed louder. “People get to do collaborations with companies all the time but very rarely do you get to collaborate with the best in the industry,” they said. “We feel like the luckiest dudes in the world that we got to hand craft our own beer with Stone & Wood in the Byron Bay Brewery. We cannot wait for everybody to try our East Coast Crusher.”

To launch the amber ale, the band will host a handful of launch parties across the country. All six – hitting Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne – are going down on Thursday, October 13th. They’re free entry, of course, and the first 50 people to show their ticket receipt for Violent Soho’s impending headline tour will get a free pour on the house.

Organisers have not confirmed whether tattered Converse will be provided for the mandatory shoeys – BLUNT advises that punters bring their own, just in case.

Violent Soho are touring the country later next month with The Bronx, Luca Brasi and Tired Lion. The tour will run through all of the same cities as the launch parties, and tickets for all shows are on sale now via the links below!
