Sydney Emo-Punks Hannahband Drop New Single; Detail Third LP
Sydney’s favourite opening act, HANNAHBAND, have finally dished the dirt on their third full-length, Quitting Will Improve Your Health. After teasing the record back in February with an unspecified release date of “the next week or so,” the emo punk (emu punx*) duo have today announced a May release through local legends Black Wire Records.
Alongside the announcement comes a new single and music video – the half-bouncy, half-cathartic “Bath Arms”. Filmed by drummer Marnie Vaughn, the clip documents the band’s adventures in the studio as they pieced together their new disc. The cut serves as the eight track opus’ second single, following sunglasses-core scorcher “29er”.
Quitting Will Improve Your Health was recorded, mixed and produced by Dylan Adams, and mastered by Jonathan Boulet. Described by triple j’s Dom Alessio as “restless, gritty punk borne of lock-out laws, rising rents and packed sharehouses,” HANNAHBAND are just about ready to explode in popularity – we couldn’t be more stoked!
