Stray From The Path Dedicate New Song To The Ghost Inside

Stray-From-The-Path

Long Island hardcore/metalcore outfit and all-around legends Stray From The Path have dedicated a new song to scene buddies The Ghost Inside. All proceeds from the song will go to the band, whose tragic bus accident last year rocked the scene, and whose story of recovery has inspired it.

The two bands have long been friends, having embarked on tours together, shared a bus together and even collaborating on records. In a statement accompanying the release of the song, which is titled “Talking Tragedy”, Stray From The Path commented that it was about “what it was like to go through this as another fellow touring band, and how amazing it was that everyone pulled together for the band and their crew”. The tune was made possible by the joint effort of Will Putney, Josean Orta and Sumerian Records.

The Ghost Inside’s bus crash left the act with serious injuries that they are still dealing with to this day. While drummer Andrew Tkaczyk lost a leg, guitarist Zach Johnson lost several toes and vocalist Jonathan Vigil is currently battling a bone infection as he learns to walk again. And that’s not even the half of it. The boys and their resilient crew are intending to be fit for performing again by the time the  2017 Vans Warped Tour rolls around.

If you’d like to contribute to their bills, which are being dished out by the uncaring United States’ health system, you can buy the track here or donate to directly to their Gofundme.
