Storm The Sky Announce New Album; Debut Heart-Wrenching Video For “Lilac”
Melbourne’s Storm The Sky are arguably one of the best post-hardcore bands in Australia right now, and that’s the god’s honest truth. Luckily for us, they’ve just announced that they will release their new album, Sin Will Find You, next month. To accompany that news, they’ve also unveiled their new music video for first single “Lilac”, which you can find below.
The clip is emotionally expressive and beautiful to watch, following the path of a young man who has just broken up with his boyfriend. In a frenzy, he encounters drugs, rebounds and paint spills. Frontman William Jarratt told Music Feeds that the video is meant to “help families understand that it’s more important to educate their children about drugs rather than to just plainly say, ‘Don’t do drugs’”.
“Lilac” is the third song to be streamed off the upcoming LP, post-dating “S.W.F.Y” and “Jaded Ghost”. On the release of Sin Will Find You, the band described the last nine months as a “journey” where what “ensued was the most honest-pure, and personal collection of songs that any of us have ever created. It’s haunting now to listen back to the album and be able to hear the pain that we discussed” in the room where their producer got them to “sit down together and 100% open up”.
ICYMI you can catch Storm The Sky playing some new bangers live when they support Pierce The Veil this August alongside Beartooth and Silverstein. Scope out more deets here and check out the dates below.
