Real Friends Are Scared To Be Alone

Real Friends

Next month is jam-packed with anticipated albums and the new Real Friends record is among them. Ahead of releasing The Home Inside My Head, the Illinois pop-punkers have shared a new song titled “Scared To Be Alone” on Spotify. We’re not surprised that the title is melancholy, considering their reputation, but we do ask this: aren’t we all?

The Tinley Park sad boys posted the tune with an accompanying message that they’re “very proud of this one”. “Scared To Be Alone” is the second single from what marks the outfit’s sophomore studio album, riding on the heels of first cut, “Colder Quicker”.

Real Friends recorded their upcoming LP in secret, commenting that they wanted to invest effort into it distraction-free. “It was honestly the hardest thing we have ever done,” the band revealed, but on the upside, they “couldn’t be happier with the results”. “We put everything we possibly could into it. And most importantly, we are stoked to share it with you this year.” On this TGIF, pre-long weekend occasion, we’ll cheers to that.

Listen to Real Friends’ new tune below.

The Home Inside My Head will drop on May 27 via Fearless Records.
