Pierce The Veil Stream New Song About Paris Attacks

Pierce The Veil 2016

Beloved post-hardcore outfit Pierce The Veil have streamed a new single from their upcoming album Misadventures, which they’ve described as being about the tragic events that took place in Paris last year. It recently premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show.

Speaking to Radio.com, frontman Vic Fuentes discussed its subject matter: the Bataclan massacre. “I remember the words of one of the guys in Eagles Of Death Metal saying that so many people died trying to save their friends and I just thought that was such an amazing, sad thing – people trying to save each other. I wrote the song as if I was at the show with my girlfriend or my best friend and shit went down, what would we be trying to do – what would be going on in our minds”.

Misadventures marks the Cali outfit’s fourth full-length and follows on from 2012’s incredibly well-received Collide With The Sky, the producer of which reunites with the band on this release. “The Divine Zero” was the first tune to be gifted to us from the new LP, with “Texas Is Forever” having been unveiled late last month.

Misadventures is out May 13 through Fearless / Caroline.
