Listen To Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Feature On A Killer New Korn Track

Three and a half months after it was first teased, the epic Korn-slash-Corey Taylor collaboration is here! “A Different World” is the latest single to come from Korn’s forthcoming twelfth album, The Serenity Of Suffering, following earlier bangers “Rotting In Vain” and “Insane”.

Speaking with Team Rock, frontman Jonathan Davis said of the collaboration: “When I was working on this song, Corey texted Nick [Raskulinecz, producer] and it popped in my head that he would be the perfect person to collaborate on the record. I’ve collaborated with everybody I’ve cared to collaborate with so far in my career, so it was hard trying to think of someone, but it so happened that Corey texted at the right time.

“I’ve been friends with him for a long long time, he’s covered my ass a couple of times, when I got really sick back in 2006 with that crazy blood disorder he came out and did a couple of songs with the band so we could at least show up and say that we tried to play. We’ve had a long relationship over the years, he’s a good guy and a great singer.”

The Serenity Of Suffering is due for release on October 21st via Roadrunner. It’s their first album since 2013’s The Paradigm Shift, and their first ~good~ album since 2002’s Untouchables.

No word on when we’ll see Korn take to Australian stages next (hopefully soon!), but for those riding the high of Corey Taylor’s drop in on the new tune, it’s probably worth noting that Slipknot have a handful of dates lined up with Lamb Of God in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne later this month.
