Fall Out Boy Covered A Song From The Jungle Book, Because Why Not?
Have you ever wondered what it would sound like if Fall Out Boy covered a song from the soundtrack to Disney’s 1967 animated classic, The Jungle Book? Yeah, neither have we. Still, the pop-punk legends have taken the plunge, and surprisingly enough… It’s great.
Alongside contributions from such heavy-hitting alternative acts as Jason Derulo and Ariana Grande (we kid, but Gwen Stefani – the all-time ruler at the throne of ska – is on there!) the Chicago act have contributed a pop-punk-esque take on “I Wan’na Be Like You” for We Love Disney, an upcoming compilation album which throws a modern spin on some of the House of Mouse’s most iconic tunes. Trading jangly ukuleles for electric guitar, Fall Out Boy’s cover takes the island-inspired original and sprays it like a fire hose with their infectious power-pop sound.
Fall Out Boy released their sixth full-length album, American Beauty / American Psycho in January of this year, and put out a new music video for their single “Irresistible” just last week.

Now, compare it to the original from 1967.
