Camp Cope And Cayetana Are Dropping A Split 7″ With ~All New~ Songs
There simply is no stopping the indie-punk tornado that is Camp Cope, sweeping up new devotees with every bendy bass note and sprinkle-y snare. Earlier in the year, they teamed up with Philly alt-rockers Cayetana for a perfect national co-headline tour that was as perfect as it was national (see: very). That run may have come to an end, but the good vibes sure haven’t, both acts teaming up for a new split 7″ release.
The record drops on January 20th via Poison City – it’s a one-off run, too, so once it’s gone… Tough shit, yo. The release features brand new tracks from both bands, including Camp Cope’s bombshell earworm “Keep Growing”, and Cayetana’s first release in almost a whole gotdamn year, “Trials” (which you can check out for yourself below).
Alongside those cuts comes a re-worked version of Camp Cope frontwoman Georgia Maq‘s solo crooner “Footscray Station”, and our second taste of Cayetana’s forthcoming sophomore album, “Mesa”.
Camp Cope have a string of national tour dates on the horizon, hitting the Laneway Festival in January, a handful of Falls Festival sideshows with Modern Baseball, and a couple of dates here and there in-between. Cayetana don’t have any Aussie dates coming up, but we’d be stone cold liars if we said we weren’t desperate for that to change ASAP.
