What other names did you consider calling yourselves?
We’ve tossed around a few… Wheels and Bailey are currently set on changing our name to one of the following – shall we put it to a vote?

1. Ain’t easy being wheelsy
2. Hymen Says
3. Captain Wheelsbeard
4. Vez Lez and the Broken Hymens

Where are you from and what would be the most recognisable local landmark?
Good ol’ Perth, Western Australia! The third most isolated city in the world… We also have one hell of an ugly bell tower; probably why bands never make it over here!

Who is in your band, what do they play and what is their non-musical superpower?
Vez Litte: guitar and vocals – the ability to remember every Blink 182 lyric and forget all of her own.
Bailey Lions: drums – shapeshifter.
Wheels McKenzie: bass and vocals – Captain Feelings.

Name your three biggest influences.
Originally? If I had to pick three, they’d be An Horse, The Weakerthans and Japandroids, but the list is endless and constantly growing!

What’s the usual first topic of conversation when you take a break at rehearsal?
“Can I bum a smoke?”

What’s your pre-show warm-up routine?
Drink the rider. We also have a strange group handshake that we do before we play… You know, like the ones that were super cool in primary school.

Tell us about your most memorable show.
Our latest EP launch. Bailey and I were too poor to afford booze, so we decided that drinking whisky from a coke bottle in the car park, getting busted and trying to convince security that we were sober and weren’t drinking would be a better life choice. Very nearly got kicked out of our own show.

What band would you most like to share the stage with and why?
For me, it would definitely be a toss-up between The Front Bottoms and Motion City Soundtrack (R.I.P.).

What’s the most exciting album you’ve listened to recently?
Can’t pick just one! Bailey has just introduced me to a bunch of rad new bands from the UK, so I’ve been smashing Happy Accident’s new album, You Might Be Right. Closer to home, though, Worse For Wear’s Empty Eyes, and Split Feed.

What is your latest release and why should we buy it?
We just dropped our latest single, “Something About Bunk Beds” in August. Pretty positive it’s free ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you could be endorsed by one company, who would it be?
Captain Morgan. 100%.

Why are you going to make it to the top over all the other contenders in the musical arena?
Four words – self dubbed demo cassettes.

Other than Dave Grohl, who has the best beard in rock?
Skinny O’Leary from Sail On! Sail On!
