Okay, so we all know local bands find it hard to survive, i know this because i am in a band myself and we've just spent $1500 on our first EP, this is without any production, so we have one master CD, its going to cost another $300 to get 100 CDs made.
But anyway, reply to this post with any half decent links to local bands.

check out The Voulturays. they went to my school last year and have won 2 battle of the bands competitions. they're a fusion of grunge and funk, so if you're into that. you'll be into them.

also if you haven't already heard of Into The Ocean, check them out. they're are pretty epic.

in my opinion.
and everyone gets an opinion. don't get up that conor guy just because he may like chelsea smile. it's his opinion; don't shoot him down. :)
